New Jersey Department Stores of the Past and Ball...
Ball Brothers Glass Manufacturing Company did not limit themselves to
only making fruit jars with the name Ball on them. They also had a
thriving business making product jars or consumer jars for big department
stores around the country. Two of the most famous and largest stores
they made these jars for were Bamberger's and Hahne's, both in Newark,
New Jersey. Both stores are now defunct and out of business.
